The funniest thing happened tonight

The funniest thing happened tonight while my were singing "Happy Birthday" to me. My dog all of a sudden started to howl along with them. It was so funny they decided to sing it again and he howled right along with them. It was the first time we ever heard him howl like that.

Many thanks! I have 3 dogs! is almost 19! (german shepard collie mix) and 2 labs, black the other chocolate. It was my black lab (who is huge-he is the size of a mastiff)who decided to sing tonight.

It was nice having my , my nephew and my daughters girlfriend here to share the evening with. I just wish my girlfriend was able to be here too, I miss her terribly.

That is always a scary thing... I hope she s and whispers in your ear as you drift off to sleep...Believe me, I do know the stress of aging parents and in-laws...Perhaps your black Lab was howling because she was absent...Pets know things...

I think he knew how bad and off key the were singing. My parents were on speakerphone singing too since they live in VA. My dad started many years ago a tradition that when we sing happy birthday we sing it as loud and as off key as possible (he did this because he felt bad for my mom who cant sing, that way she would sing and not feel embarassed by her horrible singing). So maybe he figured it was ok to join in!

I can't sing either... When I was going to MCC in Richmond, VA I'd apologize to people around me because my singing sucked...I'd most often end up next to the wannabe opera singer and she drowned me out...What part of VA are your parents in??? Sometimes I am sorry I left after living there for thirteen years...

Suffolk. My sister lives there too. They moved there because my sisters husband is in the Navy and my parents help my sister with her x boys. They are a big help to her when he is deployed, which he will be again this fall for x-x months.

I thank him for his service... and the sacrifices to your family...From Richmond, our nearest beach was Norfolk and I have made many trips that way...My sister flew in from NOLA once and there was a blizzard so bad that they closed down the Richmond airport...I drove in all that mess in a Nissan Sentra to get her from Newport News...x looked like a parking lot...I'm glad to have a sister that loves me enough to wait x fours at a dumpy airport for a drive that would typiy take an hour...

They have no snow plows down there I've been stuck in VA too many times and dread driving x except in the middle of summer at xam!

In Richmond they do, BUT they plow all of the street snow in front of your driveway/parking lot and you need to get up way early to dig yourself out for work...Honestly, I prefer that over floods and hurricanes...
